Praedium Development Corporation Management Team

The managing principle of the company is George Markopoulos. George is responsible for the day to day operation of the company, including project development operations, and the future strategic planning and growth of the company.

Prior to the formation of Praedium Development Corporation, George had been affiliated with Akton Realty Corporation, Chicago, Illinois, since its formation in 1991. Akton is a full service commercial real estate company, specializing in retail real estate. His responsibilities began with leasing retail space, both for in house projects, and third party properties, and evolved into project management for retail development projects. His areas of involvement more specifically:

Site Selection and Acquisition - Responsible for the site review and analysis through the negotiation and final acquisition of the site.
Pre-development Planning - Responsible for the pre-development planning of development projects. This process includes cost and profitability analysis, demographic analysis, site plan formulation, and the municipal approval process.
Project Finance - Responsible for the formation and execution of the financing plan of the proposed development, including negotiations with project debt and equity providers.
Leasing - Responsible for the formulation and execution of the leasing plan of the proposed development, including marketing plans and negotiating with the prospective retailers.
Construction - Responsible for the negotiation and selection of the contractors involved in the development while supervising the construction management team from ground breaking through tenant possession of the space.
Property Management - Responsible for the supervision of the management of the retail properties within the portfolio and for third party property owners.

We have developed a strong team of professionals to make certain Praedium Development Corporation executes its responsibilities to all of its constituents in an efficient and dynamic manner. In addition, we have developed a network of outside consultants to aid in the management of the company. Among them, architects, industry leading retailer representatives/brokers, MIS consultants, GIS consultants, and financial/banking.
